Managing Your Subdomain
Upload Files to Your Subdomain
-
Use the SiteWorx File Manager or an FTP client to upload files to the document root directory specified for your subdomain.
-
The files you upload here will be accessible via your subdomain URL (e.g., http://blog.yourdomain.com).
Setting Up DNS Records.
-
Once you have created your subdomain, it will also need to resolve to the server's IP address, just like your main domain. To achieve this, you will need to create an A record for your subdomain. Please log in to your dashboard at axxess.co.za. Once logged in, navigate to the domain in question, then click "view" and look for your DNS zone. Please note that, after this has been the record you have recently added needs to propagate which will take about 4 hours.
Testing Your Subdomain
-
Open your web browser and visit your new subdomain (e.g., http://blog.yourdomain.com) to ensure it is working correctly.
-
If you encounter any issues, verify the document root path and ensure the DNS settings are correctly configured.
